Alloy Steel Socket Head Screws

With a tensile strength of 170,000 psi, these alloy steel screws are stronger than Grade 8 steel screws. Length is measured from under the head.
Black-oxide steel screws are mildly corrosion resistant in dry environments.
Coarse threads are the industry standard; choose these screws if you don’t know the pitch or threads per inch.
Screws that meet ASTM A574, ASTM A574M, and ISO 898-1 comply with specifications and testing requirements for material quality.

High-Strength Grade 8 Steel Hex Head Screws

Made from Grade 8 steel, these screws can be used in high-stress applications, such as valves, pumps, motors, and automotive suspension systems. They are at least 25% stronger than medium-strength steel screws. Grade 8 steel hex head screws are marked with six radial lines. Length is measured from under the head.
Match the thread spacing of mating components. Coarse threads are the industry standard; choose these screws if you don’t know the threads per inch.
Screws that meet ASTM A354BD or SAE J429 comply with specifications and testing requirements for material quality.
Screws that meet ASME B18.2.1 or ASME B18.6.3 comply with specifications for dimensional standards.

Medium-Strength Grade 5 Steel Hex Head Screws

Made from Grade 5 steel, these screws are suitable for fastening most machinery and equipment. Dimensions meet ASME B18.2.1 specifications. Grade 5 steel hex head screws are marked with three radial lines. Length is measured from under the head.
Match the thread spacing of mating components. Coarse threads are the industry standard; choose these screws if you don’t know the threads per inch. Screws that meet ASTM A449 or SAE J429 comply with specifications and testing requirements for material quality.

Medium-Strength Steel Threaded Rods—Grade B7

These Grade B7 threaded rods meet the pressure and temperature requirements of ASTM A193 and are often used to secure pressure tanks, valves, and flanges.

Low-Strength Steel Threaded Rods

About half the strength of medium-strength steel threaded rods, use these for light duty hanging, mounting, and fastening.

High-Strength Steel Threaded Rods

Grade 8 steel threaded rods are about 25% stronger than medium-strength steel rods.

18-8 Stainless Steel Threaded Rods

18-8 stainless steel threaded rods have good chemical resistance and may be mildly magnetic.

Eyebolts—For Lifting

Also known as machinery eyebolts.
Zinc-plated steel eyebolts offer good corrosion resistance.
Note: Capacities listed are for vertical lifting only. Eyebolts with shoulder can be used for angular lifting up to 45°, but the capacities will be significantly reduced. For angular lifting, we recommend Hoist Rings. Eyebolts without shoulder are for vertical lifting only.
Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.

Rotating Eyebolts—For Lifting

Unlike conventional eyebolts, you can rotate the eye 360° to match the angle of your load.
Powder-coated steel eyebolts are impact resistant, but less corrosion resistant than stainless steel eyebolts. They include a removable key for tightening the bolt.
Note: Capacities listed are for vertical lifting only. Eyebolts with shoulder can be used for angular lifting up to 45°, but the capacities will be significantly reduced. For angular lifting, we recommend Hoist Rings.
Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.

Eye Nuts—For Lifting

Create your own lifting eye by adding an eye nut to a stud or bolt.
Galvanized steel eye nuts have a hot-dipped finish for more corrosion resistance than zinc-plated steel.
Note: Capacity applies to the eye nut only. The stud or bolt you use will affect the overall capacity. Eye nuts are for vertical lifting only.
Warning: Never use to lift people or items over people.
