Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearings

Startup friction causes these porous bronze bearings to release a thin layer of oil on the bearing’s surface. They are also known as Oilite® bearings.

Dry-Running Mounted Sleeve Bearings

Made from slippery materials, these bearings reduce friction without the oily mess. They are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment.
Bronze bearings have embedded particles of slippery PTFE to reduce friction during startup.
