About Ball and Roller Bearings
More
Mounted Ball Bearings
Bearings are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment. Seals block out dust and contaminants.
Bearings with nickel-plated cast iron housing are more corrosion resistant and durable than bearings with a cast iron housing.
Bearings with a set screw secure to shafts without using a collar. They let shafts rotate in both directions, so they’re good for applications where you need to reverse. However, the set screw will leave some marring on the shaft.
Bearings with eccentric lock have a collar that you twist in one direction to grip and the other to release. Compared to bearings with a set screw, they’re easier to install, require less adjustment over time, and are better for high-speed applications. But, they only work on shafts that spin in one direction.

Permanently Lubricated Mounted Ball Bearings

A solid polymer lubricant surrounds the balls, eliminating the need for additional lubrication. Seals block out dust and contaminants.

High-Speed Mounted Ball Bearings

These bearings have the highest speed ratings of any mounted ball bearing that we offer. The clamp-on collar creates a 360° grip around the shaft for a strong, mar-free hold. Bearings are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment.
Bearings with torque indicator tell you when the shaft is centered, ensuring smooth rotation in applications with high vibration.
Sealed bearings block out dust and other contaminants better than shielded bearings.
Shielded bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than sealed bearings.

Washdown Mounted Ball Bearings
Meeting IP69K for washdown environments, these mounted ball bearings are used in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical plants. All have NSF registered H1 lubrication, which is certified for incidental contact with food and is suitable for food and beverage applications.
316 stainless steel bearings resist corrosion and prevent rusting caused by salt water, chlorine solutions, and chemicals. Snap optional covers onto bearings to shield them from moisture. Made of polypropylene, they resist corrosion, won’t absorb water, and are FDA compliant.
Set screw bearings secure to shafts as you tighten their screw. They don’t need a collar, but the screw does leave some marring on shafts.

Extreme-Temperature Dry-Running Mounted Sleeve Bearings

Capable of handling temperatures from -400° to 750° F, these graphalloy bearings have the widest temperature range of any of our mounted bearings. They are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment.
Note: Dynamic load capacity is the maximum load a bearing can withstand at a given shaft speed. If your application’s load and speed requirements are below the values listed, the bearing will work.
