Permanently Lubricated Ball Bearings
A solid polymer lubricant surrounds the balls, eliminating the need for additional lubrication. Because it's solid, the lubricant blocks out water and dust, extending the life of the bearing.
Sealed bearings have even better resistance to dust and contaminants than open bearings.

Linear Ball Bearings for Support Rail Shafts
Mount these bearings on a support rail shaft for applications requiring maximum rigidity. All have end seals to keep lubricant in and dirt out. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included). For bearings with retaining ring grooves, secure with two retaining rings (sold individually).
Bearings with stainless steel balls are more corrosion resistant than bearings with steel balls.
Self-aligning bearings compensate for shaft misalignment.
Fixed-alignment bearings are for use where shaft misalignment is unlinkely.

The choice for low-friction motion in high-temperature environments. Mount these bearings on a support rail shaft for applications requiring maximum rigidity. They have a fixed-alignment design for applications where shaft misalignment is unlikely. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included) and secure in place with two retaining rings (sold separately).
For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.
High-Load Linear Ball Bearings for Support Rail Shafts
Designed for heavy loads, these bearings have higher load capacities than comparable standard linear ball bearings for support rails. Use them for applications that require maximum rigidity. All are self-aligning to compensate for shaft misalignment. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included). For bearings with retaining ring grooves, secure with two retaining rings (sold individually).
Bearings with end seals keep lubricants in and dirt out.
Bearings with stainless steel balls are more corrosion resistant than bearings with steel balls.

Linear Sleeve Bearings for Support Rail Shafts
Mount these bearings on a support rail shaft for applications requiring maximum rigidity. To install, slide bearings into a housing (not included) and secure with two retaining rings (sold individually).
Bearings with 0.0005" shaft clearance are best for precision applications. Bearings with 0.001" or 0.0015" shaft clearance are less likely to bind on your shaft than bearings with 0.0005" shaft clearance.
Self Aligning—Bearings compensate for shaft misalignment.
Fixed Alignment—Bearings are for use where shaft misalignment is unlikely.
Frelon-lined bearings are wear and chemical resistant. Note: Not for use with bare aluminum, chrome-plated steel, or 300 series stainless steel shafts.
PTFE-lined bearings are chemical resistant and nonabrasive. They have a ceramic coating for added corrosion resistance.

Bearing Retaining Nuts
Often paired with spring lock washers to strengthen their hold, these retaining nuts—also known as shaft nuts—keep vibration from shifting bearings, bushings, pulleys, and gears on your threaded shaft or spindle. They have slotted sides, so you can tighten and loosen them with a spanner wrench or spanner socket.
Chamfered-face retaining nuts weigh less and produce less heat than stepped-face nuts.
Carbon steel retaining nuts are strong and resist wear.
303 stainless steel retaining nuts resist corrosion better than steel. They also withstand washdowns and chemicals.
