Mold custom-shaped composite parts by layering your choice of fabric with an epoxy. The epoxy (sold separately) is a two-part resin that begins to harden in 15 hours and reaches full strength in 4 days. Finished composite pieces have a temperature range of 0° to 250° F.
Fabric with a twill weave provides equal strength in all directions.
Fabric with a unidirectional weave has most of its fibers running in one direction. This weave is preferred when making tubular parts, such as vehicle frames, where linear strength is required.
Kevlar fabric is a super-tough material that offers excellent wear and abrasion resistance.
Carbon fiber fabric provides the highest strength of all our composite fabrics.
Carbon/Kevlar fabric results in rigid composite parts that have the strength of carbon fiber with the wear resistance of Kevlar.

Even when exposed for as long as 2 minutes to temperatures up to 2600° F, these sheets, made of a carbon fiber blend, won't ignite or melt. They also resist molten metal spatter.

With excellent torsional strength, this sleeving withstands the extreme twisting found in robotics. Made of carbon fiber, it has impact strength similar to steel yet is lighter than plastic and rubber. Resistant to corrosion and chemicals, it’s often used to protect brake lines and hydraulic lines. It’s expandable, so it stretches to fit over items for easy installation, then tightens around its contents for a secure fit. The braided construction permits heat and moisture to dissipate. Cut with scissors or a hot-blade knife.

This twisted carbon thread handles temperatures up to 4350° F in low-oxygen vacuum environments. Use it to sew or band graphite insulation or to wrap around parts for insulation. It is strong and corrosion resistant.
