Cobalt Steel 1/2" Diameter Reduced-Shank Drill Bit Sets

With better heat and wear resistance than high-speed steel, these cobalt steel bits can run up to 25% faster and have a longer tool life. The shank has a smaller diameter than the tip, allowing you to drill large holes with machines that have small-capacity chucks. A split point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole. Also known as Silver and Deming bits, they have a 1/2" diameter shank.
