Drill Bits

These jobbers'-length bits have the rigidity and length required for most applications.
Black-oxide and black-and-gold-oxide drill bits produce less friction than uncoated drill bits.
Titanium-nitride (TiN) coated drill bits last longer and can drill at higher speeds than uncoated and oxide-coated drill bits.
Drill bits with a split point keep centered without a pilot hole.

Drill Bits for Aluminum, Brass, and Bronze

Because softer metal, like aluminum, brass, and bronze, can clog a bit, the flutes on these bits lift chips out of the hole. Also known as slow-spiral drill bits. They are jobbers' length and have the rigidity and length required for most applications.

Inch Size Depth-Limiting Drill Bit Stop Collars

Ensure identical hole depths every time. Position the collar on your bit and tighten the set screw.

Cobalt Steel Drill-Point Countersinks for Lathe Centers

For use on hard-to-machine materials, these countersinks are cobalt steel for better heat and abrasion resistance than high-speed steel. The 60° countersink angle is compatible with the profile of centers on a lathe. They have a small drill point on the tip for drilling and countersinking holes with the same tool. The drill point creates a small gap that prevents damage to the points of live or dead centers.

Secure-Hold Bit Adapters for Ratchet Wrenches

Lock your bit into the adapter to prevent accidental disengagement. These adapters fit square-drive tools and accept hex-shank screwdriver bits. They have nonmagnetic bit holders, so they won’t attract loose metal parts and shavings.
To secure a bit in twist-lock adapters, tighten the knurled end.

Hardened Undersized High-Speed M2 Tool Steel Rods

- Yield Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Rockwell C60 (Very Hard)
These rods, also known as drill blanks, have an undersized diameter for machining your own jobbers'-length drill bits. They're hardened for increased abrasion and impact resistance. M2 tool steel offers a nice balance of wear resistance and machinability. It has a high molybdenum content, which allows it to maintain sharp cutting edges even at elevated temperatures.
