Stranded wire is flexible, so it’s pliable enough to be pulled around corners. The strand count is the number of strands followed by the size of the individual strand. The higher the number of strands, the more flexible the wire.

The higher the number of strands, the more flexible the wire. Also known as MTW wire, it’s rated UL 1063 for machine tool wiring.
