Enabling Pendant Switches

Also known as deadman switches, these switches make sure equipment only runs if you lightly press the hand grip. If you let go or a shock tightens your grip, they cut power. Use them when you need to override a system’s safety controls to program or service equipment. For example, if you need to be in a robot's working area to troubleshoot issues.

Switches with a Buna-N rubber housing work well in dirty and oily environments, such as machine shop floors, because they stand up to fuel oil, hydraulic oil, ethylene glycol, and grease. Because they have a cord on bottom, they can't stand up on their own. Add a mounting bracket to store them upright and out of the way.

Switches with an auxiliary actuator give you control over more components in your system. Red emergency push buttons stop additional equipment with a single push. For example, you could shut down the conveying line a robot is working around. Black push buttons and rockers turn additional equipment, such as inspection lights, on and off.

Switches with a power indicator have red and green LEDs that light up to show whether power is running to your equipment.

Switches that meet EN 418 or EN 60947-5-1 comply with European safety standards for emergency stop applications.

Easy-Grip Pendant Switches

With a slim shape, these switches fit comfortably in your hand. Use them with mobile machinery such as cranes, hoists, and trolleys.

Style C can be wired to prevent both buttons from operating simultaneously.

Two-speed switches have staged contacts. When you push the button, it will first actuate the slow speed. Continue to push for the additional speed to be actuated.

Switches with mechanical interlock prevent both buttons from operating simultaneously.

NEMA 4X rated switches protect against corrosion.

Corrosion-Resistant Washdown Pendant Switches

Control cranes and other mobile machinery in dirty, outdoor, and wet environments without damaging your switch. The plastic housing is rated NEMA 4X to protect the switch interior from dust, sprayed water, and ice. They are also rated NEMA 12 for keeping out oil and other liquid drips. All of these switches can be wired to prevent two buttons from operating at the same time.

Two-speed switches have staged contacts. For slow speed, press the button halfway down to close the first contact. For high speed, push it all the way to close the second contact.

Use labels to replace worn stickers or change the function of a button. Packs include 28 commonly used functions, such as up, down, start, and stop.

Wireless Pendant Switches

Operate equipment from up to 330 feet away—these switches include a transmitter and a receiver that connects to equipment. Use up to 45 wireless switches in the same area. They're rated IP65 for protection from washdowns.

Two-speed switches have staged contacts. For slow speed, press the button halfway down to close the first contact. For high speed, push it all the way to close the second contact.

Switches that cannot be sold to Canada are restricted by product labeling requirements.

Wireless Self-Powered Pendant Switches

Never worry about your pendant switch losing power. These pendant switches generate enough power from pushing the button to send a signal to a receiver (sold separately) up to 330 feet away. Since they operate equipment without requiring wires back to your control panel, they’re often used for retrofit or temporary installations. Connect up to eight pendant switches to one receiver. The switches come in different colors to help operators quickly identify them.
