Copper allows these lubricants to conduct electricity, while graphite gives them good chemical and corrosion resistance. Also known as thread lubricants, antiseize lubricants prevent threaded fasteners and close-fitting parts from locking together due to corrosion, contamination, or heat.
Loctite® C5-A Copper-Based Anti-Seize lubricants can be used with salt water and petroleum-based chemicals. LB 8065 comes as a stick for no-mess application.
Lubricants that meet MIL-A-907F and MIL-PRF-907F have been tested to prevent corrosion of copper and for antiseize properties when used with steel nuts and studs.
Dielectric strength measures the maximum voltage a lubricant can withstand without losing its insulating properties. The higher the dielectric strength, the better its quality as an insulator.
Electrical resistivity is a measure of how well a material opposes the flow of electricity. The lower the rating, the more electricity it conducts.

A high silver content gives this grease excellent conductivity for applications where electricity and heat transfer are required. It is suitable for ESD (electrostatic discharge) and EMI (electromagnetic interference) shielding applications.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Electrical resistivity is a measure of how well a material opposes the flow of electricity. The lower the rating, the more electricity it conducts.
Thermal conductivity measures a material’s ability to transfer heat. The higher the rating, the more heat it transfers.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range. Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry.

Bond heat sinks to surfaces, eliminating air gaps for maximum heat transfer. These compounds are commonly used with transistors, diodes, rectifiers, and transformers.
Zinc oxide compounds create a more secure bond than silicone compounds.

Also known as thermal paste, these boron-nitride compounds increase heat transfer between parts while preventing them from sticking. Unlike antiseize compounds, they don't conduct electricity, so you won't risk shorting out sensitive electronics. They're often used on thermocouple probes to improve accuracy. You can also use them in 3D printer heating blocks and other high-temperature areas to keep parts from fusing together.

For controlled cooling, use quenching oil instead of water to minimize cracking and distortion after heat treating parts and tools. It's nonstaining and chlorine and sulfur free. Use full strength.
Often used as a safe alternative to mercury in thermometers, thermostats, and switches, these gallium alloys are also good for transferring heat and electricity in soft electronics that must bend and flex. With a low melting point, they’re a liquid at room temperature. These alloys wet (stick to) both metallic and nonmetallic surfaces, and can even be used as a high-temperature lubricant for bearings. They will, however, dissolve aluminum at room temperatures and many other metals at higher temperatures. They’re also known as Galinstan.
Gallium alloys with 66.5% gallium have a lower melting temperature than those with 75.5% gallium. They are not, however, as good for transferring heat.
Gallium alloys with 75.5% gallium are better than those with 66.5% gallium for transferring heat. They also have a higher melting temperature.
