Locking Quick-Release Pins
These all-stainless steel pins stand up to corrosive environments and are passivated for added protection against corrosion and oxidation. Four spring-loaded balls give them more holding power than quick-release pins with fewer retaining balls. The balls pop out when the pin is pushed into a hole, and retract when the pin is pulled out. For the best fit, the hole should be as close to the diameter as possible, but not larger than the diameter at extended ball height. Breaking strength is measured as double shear, which is the force required to break a pin into three pieces.
