Set Screw Collar Ball Bearings
Slip these bearings onto a shaft and secure with the included set screws, no special tools required. All have an extended inner ring for additional shaft support.
Bearings with a black-oxide steel ring have some corrosion resistance.
Sealed bearings block out dust and other contaminants better than shielded bearings.
Bearings with a retaining ring have a removable retaining ring that holds the bearing inside a housing.

Needle-Roller Bearings
Also known as drawn-cup roller bearings, these are our thinnest roller bearings. The outer ring is drawn out to form a lip that holds the bearing together. Bearings take on the shape of their housing and may be oblong prior to installation.
Open bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than sealed bearings.

Precision Needle-Roller Bearings
Install these bearings directly onto hardened and ground shafts. They have higher load capacity, speed, and accuracy than standard needle-roller bearings.
Open bearings dissipate heat more efficiently than sealed bearings.
Sealed bearings block out dust and other contaminants.
Shaft liners allow you to use the bearing on unhardened and unground shafts.

Acme Lead Screws and Nuts
Found in hand-powered clamps, vises, grates, doors, and work tables, lead screws and nuts have broad, square threads that are well suited for quick assembly, high clamping forces, and lifting and lowering heavy objects. To ensure compatibility, please select components that have the same thread direction, thread size, and number of thread starts.
Carbon steel components are easier to machine than alloy steel components. Zinc-plated carbon steel components have mild corrosion resistance. 360 brass components have excellent machinability and good corrosion resistance. 18-8 stainless steel components have good corrosion resistance.
Travel distance per turn, also known as screw lead, is the distance a nut or handle moves with one revolution of the lead screw.

Tapered Shims
Ridges keep these shims from sliding apart when stacked. Use them to align cabinets, doors, and windows, or for other rough leveling.
Shims are made of plastic to resist moisture and prevent rot. Polypropylene shims are rigid. PVC shims are flexible.

Shims for Hinges
Slide these shims behind your door’s hinge to align it in the jamb. To select the correct shim, measure your door hinge leaf height. Shims have a universal hole pattern and can be cut with a knife. Shims are made of plastic to resist moisture and prevent rot.
