This wire wraps around a post terminal on a circuit board to make an electrical connection, eliminating the need for soldering. It stays in the shape you bend it for a tight wrap around the post. For an even tighter connection than wrapping by hand, use a wrap wire tool (sold separately). Thread the wire into the tip, insert the tool over a post terminal, and twist. Alternate between winding and unwinding by reversing the tip, just as you would a screwdriver bit.

Also known as magnet wire, this wire is commonly used in motors, transformers, relays, and other high-speed winding applications. It meets NEMA 1000 MW-35C for material quality and -73C for use in sealed motors and material quality. It stays in the position you bend it.

Because they tightly thread to M12 connections, these connectors won’t let contaminants in or come loose from vibration in rugged industrial environments and automated systems as they send power and signal or just power to your equipment. Their poles and keyways adhere to standard coding layouts, reducing the chance you’ll mismatch connectors.

A- and C-coded connectors send both power and signal, while K-, L-, S-, and T-coded connectors only send power. Choose A-coded connectors for AC and DC sensors, actuators, motors, light curtains, and other devices. They’re often used to connect equipment to IO Link controllers and within Profibus, DeviceNet, and other fieldbus systems. 90° elbow connectors run your cord along the side of equipment, so they fit behind machines and in tight spaces.

Connectors with polyurethane or TPE insulation resist chemicals and UV rays. Because they stand up to bending, they’re good for jobs with continuous motion. Polyurethane also resists oil and is halogen free, which can corrode metal and is dangerous to inhale. IP67 and IP68 rated connectors can withstand brief submersion. Add caps to protect connectors and maintain their IP and NEMA ratings when not in use.
