Mounting Tape
Often used to install carpet, padding, and linoleum. Cotton cloth tape is thicker and stronger than polypropylene and polyethylene tape, but polypropylene and polyethylene tape form stronger bonds.

Flame-Retardant Mounting Tape
Made with fire-retardant cotton cloth, this tape is often used to install carpet, padding, and linoleum on stairs and floors.

Cotton Friction Tape
This traditional black cotton electrician's tape provides an abrasion-resistant shield for wrapping low-voltage splices. Rubber adhesive is applied to both sides of this tape, so it also works well as a nonslip gripping surface for hand tools.
Masking Tape for Abrasive Blasting
In addition to handling temperatures up to 500° F, this fiberglass tape is tough enough for abrasive applications such as sand blasting.
Tape with adhesive on both sides can be used as an inner wrap for coils and transformers, or as an underwrap for other masking tape.
