Continuous-Flex High-Temperature Plastic Submersible Cord Grips

Extend your cord’s life while stopping it from coming loose in places that are sanitized with water or steam as hot as 300° F, such as food plants and clean rooms. A flexible extension supports these grips to prevent kinks and reduce stress from sharp bends. This makes them best for cords that attach to handheld devices, robots, and other moving machines. Made of PVDF, these grips withstand harsh cleaners and chemicals. They’re IP and NEMA rated, so they seal out water from rain, washdowns, and submersion as well as dust, oil, and coolant to protect parts in your enclosure.

Aluminum Submersible Cord Grips

Lighter in weight than steel and brass grips, these aluminum grips are strong enough to secure cords in demanding wet environments. All offer strain relief to extend cord life. They are NEMA and IP rated, so they’ll stand up to dust, oil, washdowns, and temporary submersion in water.

Locknut and O-Ring Kit

These cord grips are lightweight yet durable. As you tighten the grip, a nylon inner ring and lubricated rubber bushing secure your cable, prevent overtightening, and create a seal around the cord to block out liquid. The inner rings are colored by size so you can identify them at a glance.

Locknut and O-ring kits (sold separately) create liquid-tight seals between cord grips and enclosure knockouts. When used together with the cord grips, they meet NEMA 4X, NEMA 13, and IP66 ratings, so they can be used indoors and outdoors to protect against corrosion, dust, spraying water, oil, and coolant. Each kit includes two locknuts and one or two O-rings.

Able to stand up to rust better than steel grips, these 300 series stainless steel grips secure electrical cables in corrosive environments. They’re also stronger than aluminum grips. All have a nylon plastic inner ring and rubber bushing that keep cables from disconnecting without cutting into their outer sheath. The ring and bushing form a seal around your cord to block out water.

Add a locknut and O-ring kit to create a liquid-tight seal between these cord grips and enclosure knockouts. When used together with the cord grips, they meet NEMA 4X, NEMA 13, and IP66 ratings, so they can be used indoors and outdoors to protect against corrosion, dust, spraying water, oil, and coolant. Each kit comes with two locknuts and two O-rings—enough for two cord grips.

Sanitary Washdown Cord Grips

Securely connect cable in sanitary environments such as food plants with these watertight cord grips. IP68 and IP69 ratings mean they can be submerged in water for up to 30 minutes, and stand up to high-temperature, high-pressure washdowns, so they will shield cable from both clean-out-of-place (COP) soaking and clean-in-place (CIP) washdowns.

With no exposed threads and a smooth finish, these grips are easy to wash and are free of space where bacteria could grow, reducing the chance of foodborne illnesses. A rubber bushing seals the connection to the cord, and a rubber seal blocks water and contaminants from entering your enclosure. In case they fall into your line, both the bushing and seal are FDA compliant for direct contact with food. They are also blue, so you can easily spot them. The rest of these cord grips are made of stainless steel, which won’t corrode when washed with harsh cleaners.

Use them indoors or out, they're also NEMA rated to protect against dirt, oil, water, and coolant. All meet U.S. and Canadian safety standards.
