Heavy Duty Vibration-Resistant Reciprocating Saw Blades for Plunge Cuts

Image of Product. Front orientation. Reciprocating Saw Blades. Heavy Duty Vibration-Resistant Reciprocating Saw Blades for Plunge Cuts.
Wide enough to cut through multiple layers, these blades are also known as demolition blades. They’re also called variable-set blades thanks to their teeth that vary in size, number per inch, and pattern, which limits vibration. This keeps your cuts stable and straight without requiring much effort. Their pointed tip is made for plunge cuts, so you can cut a hole in a wall for an access panel. And their body is flexible enough to cut flush against surfaces, such as removing an old piping system that’s close to a wall. Made with a carbon steel body with high-speed steel teeth, these blades are often referred to as bimetal blades. Choose blades with more teeth per inch for a smooth finish; choose blades with fewer teeth per inch for fast, rough cutting.
The 1/2” universal shank on these blades fits most reciprocating saws.

Heavy Duty Extra-Long-Life Reciprocating Saw Blades for Plunge Cuts

Image of Product. Side1 orientation. Reciprocating Saw Blades. Heavy Duty Extra-Long-Life Reciprocating Saw Blades for Plunge Cuts.
Wide enough to cut through multiple layers quickly, these blades are often called demolition blades. With carbide-tipped teeth, they stay sharp at least 50 times longer than bimetal blades with high-speed steel teeth. The teeth are also harder for cutting harder materials. The pointed tip is made for plunge cuts—it lets you start from the center of a material instead of the edge. Use them on a wide range of materials for tasks from removing an old piping system to adding an access panel to a wall. Their 1/2” universal shank fits most reciprocating saws.
Heat Dissipating—Heat-dissipating blades have teeth made of a specialized carbide blend that dissipates heat as you cut. They stay sharp 100 times longer than bimetal blades with high-speed steel teeth—the longest life in our reciprocating saw blade offering.
Variable-Set Tooth—Blades with variable-set teeth limit vibration to keep your cuts stable and straight without requiring much effort. Their aluminum-coated body reduces heat buildup when cutting, so they won’t burn your wood or accidentally harden metal edges. They’ll also stay sharp and won’t get gummed up with metal shards or sawdust.

Heavy Duty Extra-Long-Life Reciprocating Saw Blades for Plunge Cuts in Wood

Image of Product. Side1 orientation. Reciprocating Saw Blades. Heavy Duty Extra-Long-Life Reciprocating Saw Blades for Plunge Cuts in Wood.
Also known as demolition blades, these blades are wide enough to cut through multiple layers of wood quickly. They’ll also stay sharp 50 times longer than blades with high-speed steel teeth thanks to their carbide-tipped teeth. The teeth are harder than high-speed steel and titanium-nitride-coated teeth, so they cut through harder materials. Also called variable-set blades, the teeth vary in size and pattern. This limits vibration for stable, straight cuts that require minimal effort. Their pointed tip is great for plunge cuts. An aluminum coating over their body reduces heat buildup, so they stay sharp and don’t get gummed up with sawdust. Since they stay cool, they won’t burn your wood.

    Round/Diamond

    Arbor

Cut through hidden nails in reclaimed lumber. The carbide-tipped steel teeth on these blades are designed to handle impact as they cut across and with the grain (ripping). They bite into wood to make both straight and plunge cuts, so they can slice through material that’s already installed. Detach the center piece to expose the diamond shape of the arbor.
Warning: Use wheels that have a greater rpm rating than the no-load rpm of your tool.
Aluminum-Coated Steel Body—Aluminum-coated steel blades resist the heat buildup from high-speed cutting, which helps keep them sharp. They stay cool as you cut, so sawdust won’t stick to them as easily, and they won’t burn your wood. These blades also have anti-vibration vents that reduce shaking for a quieter, more accurate cut.

These blades are wide to cut through multiple layers. They're also known as demolition blades. Stiffer than other blades, they make straighter cuts. Choose blades with more teeth per inch for a smooth finish; choose blades with fewer teeth per inch for fast, rough cutting.
Constant-Set Tooth—Blades with a constant-set-tooth style have the same size and number of teeth per inch throughout the blade.
Variable-Set Tooth—Variable-set teeth differ in size and pattern to reduce vibration and keep the blade stable for straight cuts. They also require less effort when cutting.
