Cobalt Steel Drill Bits

These jobbers'-length bits have the rigidity and length required for most applications. Made of cobalt steel, which has better heat and wear resistance than high-speed steel, they can run up to 25% faster and have a longer tool life.
Titanium-nitride (TiN) coated drill bits last longer and can drill at higher speeds than uncoated drill bits.
Drill bits with a split point keep centered without a pilot hole.

3/8" Diameter Reduced-Shank Drill Bits

The shank has a smaller diameter than the tip, allowing you to drill large holes with machines that have small-capacity chucks. A split point keeps the bit centered without a pilot hole.

Drill Bits for Precise Holes in Wood

Three sharp points allow these bits to drill accurate straight and overlapping holes, even across the grain. The center guide point prevents the bit from wandering. Also known as brad-point bits.
High-speed steel drill bits are stronger and more wear resistant than steel drill bits.

Drill Bits for Plastic

The sharp point allows for gradual penetration to reduce friction and eliminate cracking and chipping when drilling in plastic. These bits are jobbers' length and have the rigidity and length required for most applications.

Drill Bits for Wire Installation

Unlike traditional wire-installing drill bits, you do not need to strip the end of the wire when using one of these bits. After drilling, insert the wire into the bit's hollow shaft and pull through the drilled hole. Also known as bell hanger bits.
