High-Speed Steel Step Drill Bit Sets

    Standard

Drill multiple hole sizes using only one bit. These have steps with progressively larger diameters—the deeper they drill, the bigger the hole. Count the steps as you drill to achieve the proper size. These bits also deburr as they cut, so they're good for thin materials like sheet metal and plastic panels. Wear and heat resistant, high-speed steel is versatile for use on a range of materials.
Uncoated—The most economical option, uncoated bits perform best when used on low-carbon steel and aluminum. Polished to reduce friction, they're also known as bright finish bits.

    Countersink Sets for Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Countersinks. Countersink Sets for Screws.
Cut cone-shaped recesses for screws of various diameters so the screw head sit flush with the surface. Choose an 82° countersink angle for inch screws or a 90° countersink angle for metric screws.
High-Speed Steel—These versatile, wear-resistant countersinks cut cleanly in most materials, including plastic, aluminum, and steel.
Titanium Nitride (TiN) Coated—Withstand heat, corrosion, and abrasion better than uncoated and black oxide countersinks, so they stay sharp over longer periods.
Number of Flutes—Countersinks with fewer flutes are best for aggressive cutting. They leave more room for chips to clear, reducing friction and heat. Countersinks with more flutes spread the cut across more edges for better stability, a smoother finish, and longer tool life.

Carbide-Tipped Drill Bit Sets for Masonry and Concrete

Crush rather than cut material so bits don’t jam or overheat while drilling masonry and concrete. The ultra-hard carbide tip breaks masonry into pieces and the widely spaced flutes channel them out of the hole. These bits stay sharp, resisting wear and heat that will dull or break other bits.
Round Shank for Hammer and Rotary Drilling

Use these bits in rotary hammers that have a drill chuck. Simultaneous rotary and hammering action drills faster and penetrates material with less pressure than rotary-only bits. Also known as percussion or impact bits.

Chip-Clearing Carbide-Tipped Drill Bit Sets for Masonry and Concrete

Prevent frequent stops to clear bits and reduce heat buildup that can damage them. The tight spiral flutes lift dust and debris out of the hole more quickly than standard masonry bits. These bits are especially effective for brittle material that creates a lot of debris, such as block and brick. The carbide tip resists wear to stay sharp.

Impact Wrench High-Speed Steel Drill Bit Sets

Image of Product. Side1 orientation. Drill Bits. Impact Wrench High-Speed Steel Drill Bit Sets.
Cut holes of different sizes twice as fast as a power drill. Made with an oversized shank and hardened high-speed steel, the bits in these sets are built to handle the high torque of your impact wrench without snapping, even in large holes and hard materials such as stainless steel. A built-in pilot with a stepped tip centers the bit, prevents it from slipping, and drills with one third the pressure of standard bits. Since your wrench absorbs kickback, it won’t fight you if the bit snags, reducing wrist strain and fatigue during long jobs.
You’ll need a VersaDrive chuck (sold separately) to install these bits into your impact wrench. You can also get chucks for impact drivers and magnetic-base drills (both sold separately). For jobs that don’t require the torque of an impact tool, you can fit these bits directly into a 1/2" chuck on a standard power drill.

    Impact Wrench Tap Sets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Taps. Impact Wrench Tap Sets.
Tap holes with a range of thread sizes 15 times faster than by hand. Made with an oversized shank and hardened high-speed steel, the taps in these sets are built to handle the high torque of impact wrenches to cut material quickly. Your wrench’s rapid hammering keeps these taps moving forward for smooth, continuous cutting. Those rapid blows also help break and clear chips as you cut, so you don’t need to pause and reverse, even in large holes and tough materials. This also means the tap is less likely to jam on chips and snap.
You’ll need a VersaDrive chuck (sold separately) to install these taps into your impact wrench. You can also get chucks for impact drivers (sold separately).
Hardened High-Speed Steel—Multiple Tap Thread Sizes
Titanium Nitride (TiN) Coated—Run at higher speeds and last twice as long as uncoated taps.
Taper Chamfer—Good for both starting holes and threading through holes. These taps have the longest taper to gradually engage with the material, reducing the force needed to turn them. They can't reach the bottom of blind holes, however, so you will likely need to finish with a bottoming-chamfer tap.

With a hollow body and single cutting edge, these countersinks make less contact with the hole than solid-body countersinks. The reduced friction minimizes vibration and leaves a more accurate, tight-fitting recess for your screw head.
Cobalt Steel—Tough and wear resistant, these countersinks last at least twice as long as high-speed steel. They can also run up to 25% faster at higher temperatures without chipping on hard materials, such as nickel.

Fluteless Smooth-Finish Hex-Bit Countersink Sets for Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Countersinks. Fluteless Smooth-Finish Hex-Bit Countersink Sets for Screws.
Create a smoother finish than you can with solid-body hex-bit countersinks. The countersinks in these sets are hollow and have a single cutting edge, so they make less contact—and create less friction—as they cut holes. Pop them into screwdrivers and other tools that accept 1/4" hex bits. They’re often used to deburr and chamfer screw holes. You can also use them to create a 90° countersink angle that’s compatible with metric flat- and oval-head screws.

    Impact Wrench Drill Tap Sets

Image of Product. Side1 orientation. Drill Taps. Impact Wrench Drill Tap Sets.
Drill and tap holes with a range of thread sizes in a single fluid step that’s 15 times faster than by hand. Made with an oversized shank and hardened high-speed steel, the drill taps in these sets are built to handle the high torque of your impact wrench to cut material quickly. A built-in pilot starts the hole while the taper chamfer gradually engages material for clean, accurate threads. Your wrench’s rapid hammering helps break and clear chips as you cut, so you don’t need to pause and reverse. This also means these drill taps are less likely to jam on chips and snap. They’re a great choice for quickly preparing threaded through holes in thin materials.
Titanium Nitride (TiN)-Coated Hardened High-Speed Steel—Titanium Nitride (TiN) coated taps resist heat and wear better than uncoated taps, letting them last up to twice as long.
