Abrasion-Resistant Glass-Filled Slippery UHMW Polyethylene

- Color: Blue
- Temperature Range: -40° to 180° F
- Tensile Strength: 5,600 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: No Break (Excellent)
- Hardness: Durometer 69D (Medium)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D4020, ASTM D4976, ASTM D6712
The addition of glass fibers makes this material more abrasion resistant than standard UHMW. Also known as Tivar 88, these impact-resistant sheets and bars are often used as liners for chutes and hoppers because they have a tough, slippery surface that keeps material, including metal, flowing freely.

Rigid Glass-Filled Wear-Resistant Nylon Sheets

- Color: Off-White
- Temperature Range: -40° to 230° F
- Tensile Strength: 13,500 psi (Excellent)
- Impact Strength: 1.3 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell M88 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D4066, ASTM D5989, ASTM D6779
The glass reinforcement makes these nylon 6/6 sheets stronger than standard nylon, plus it gives them the ability to handle higher temperatures. Offering excellent thermal stability, they’ll maintain their physical properties when heated. They’re often machined into caster plates, automotive components, and other high-stress parts.

Rigid Glass-Filled Wear-Resistant
Easy-to-Machine Delrin® Acetal Resin Sheets

- Color: White
- Temperature Range: -40° to 185° F
- Tensile Strength: 7,700 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 0.9 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell M87 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D6100, UL 94 HB
A glass-fiber filler makes these naturally slippery, wear-resistant sheets more rigid than standard Delrin® acetal resin sheets. They resist expanding when exposed to heat and moisture resistant, so they can be machined to close tolerances. Use them to make manifolds, impellers, and other parts that require rigidity. Delrin® acetal resin is also known as acetal homopolymer.

High-Strength Glass-Filled Impact-Resistant Polycarbonate Sheets

- Color: Black
- Temperature Range: -40° to 265° F
- Tensile Strength: 12,000 psi (Excellent)
- Impact Strength: 2.06 ft.-lbs./in. (Good)
- Hardness: Rockwell M87 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: ASTM D3935, ASTM D6098, UL 94 HB
The addition of glass fibers to this polycarbonate increases tensile strength for structural applications. It also gives these sheets increased thermal stability, so they maintain their physical properties when thermoforming. Polycarbonate is comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon.

Durable Glass-Filled Chemical-Resistant Slippery PTFE Sheets

- Color: Off-White
- Temperature Range: -350° to 500° F
- Tensile Strength: 1,000-2,500 psi (Poor)
- Impact Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Durometer 55D-66D (Medium Soft)
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
- Specifications Met: UL 94 V-0
These glass-filled PTFE sheets offer increased rigidity over standard PTFE sheets for durability in high-stress applications. They’ll also resist expanding when exposed to water and heat, so you can machine them to close tolerances. PTFE is known for its naturally slippery surface, as well as its superior resistance to chemicals and extreme temperatures. These sheets are skived, so the edges may curl.
