Flat-Material Length Measurers
Measure sheets, rolls, and strips using these wheels and their attached counters.
Aluminum wheels are for high temperature processes and coarse materials such as sandpaper. The surface is knurled for good contact.
Plastic wheels are for smooth materials such as paper and cloth.

Digital Flat-Material Length Measurers for Saws
Accurately cut 2×4s, boards, and other materials without the hassle of a tape measure or creating jigs as a stop. As you slide material along your saw fence, the digital counter measures its length, so you know what length you’re cutting. These measurers clamp onto most saw fences. Program the blade offset, including its angle, to account for the distance between the measurer and the blade, so you get an accurate measurement.
Saw fence extenders are required for saw fences shorter than 95 mm high. There must be at least two holes in the fence on each side of the saw blade to install these adapters.

Distance-Measuring Wheels
Roll these wheels along a surface to measure long distances. Choose a wheel diameter of 11.5” or larger for uneven surfaces. Wheels with a diameter less than 11.5” are good for smooth, hard surfaces.
Wheels with an analog display don't rely on a power source to count, so they won't lose power while you're measuring. However, you can't change the display to different units of measure. Wheels with a digital display give you the option to show measurements in inch or metric units. Because they run on batteries, they can lose power while measuring.
Those with a display on the wheel keep both the wheel and counter in your line of sight, so you can guide and stop the wheel for an accurate measurement. Wheels with a display on the handle give you easy access to the digital counter and its controls to let you change the settings while you measure.
Steel wheels are the most durable wheels in our offering, so they stand up to rough terrain. Their added weight gives them stability, so they’re good at staying accurate on uneven surfaces. Aluminum wheels are lightweight yet durable and can be used on rough terrain. Plastic wheels are lightweight and work best on smooth, hard surfaces.
Style K operates on a nonreplaceable battery with a minimum 10-year life.
Wheels with a telescoping handle let you change the length of the handle. When set to shorter lengths, you can use them on elevated surfaces such as countertops. Wheels with a folding handle can be folded up for portability and storage in small spaces.

Rotary Motion Position-Measuring Transmitter Kits
In addition to a transmitter, these kits include a 6 1/2-ft. cable and a mounting bracket. Also known as encoders, transmitters convert motion to an electrical signal to indicate distance, direction, and speed in process control and metering applications. These kits are commonly used to monitor the position or velocity of rotating equipment. You can also mount a wheel (not included) to measure distance in linear applications. Transmitters must be used with a controller that has quadrature detection to get a 4X resolution increase. Output channel Z is also known as an index channel.
Use a flexible shaft coupling (not included) to connect the transmitter shaft to a drive shaft.

Rotary Motion Position-Measuring Transmitters
Provide motion feedback to counters, controllers, and motor drives for automated motion control and measurement applications. Also known as encoders, transmitters convert rotary motion to an electrical signal so you can operate your system based on distance, direction, and speed of travel. Transmitters have Pull-Up Resistor output.
Use a flexible shaft coupling (not included) to connect the transmitter shaft to a drive shaft.
Mount a wheel (not included) to use transmitters to measure lengths.
Use cables (not included) to connect transmitters to counters and controllers.
Transmitters with a quadrature output channel must be used with a controller that has quadrature detection to get a 4X resolution increase.
