Hazardous Location Ceiling Lights
Illuminate chemical plants, refineries, and other facilities where flammable and combustible gases may be present in the event of a leak or ventilation failure. These lights are rated for use in NEC Class 1, Division 2 hazardous locations. IP or NEMA rated, their seal also blocks out water and dust, so you can use them in damp, humid, and even washdown areas. Use the mounting holes to mount these lights to your ceiling.
For additional protection, choose a light rated for more NEC classes. NEC Class II-rated lights protect against flammable and combustible dust.
UL marine listed lights resist the corrosive effects of salt water. ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) Design Assessed lights meet requirements for use on docks and ships.
Lights that meet NSF/ANSI 2 standards are commonly used in food handling and processing areas with splashing liquid.
