    High-Dexterity Cut-Protection Gloves

Image of Product. Front orientation. Gloves. High-Dexterity Cut-Protection Gloves.
Gloves that feel light but work hard. Our thinnest cut-protection gloves give you the dexterity and control of lightweight gloves with the cut resistance of heavier ones. They're trusted daily by the McMaster-Carr warehouse team. These gloves are rated to ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance.
Polyurethane Rubber-Coated Palm—Polyurethane is the thinnest, lightest option. Best when dexterity and touch sensitivity are the priority.
Nitrile-Coated Palm—Nitrile is more abrasion-resistant and stands up to oils and many chemicals. Choose this for heavier-duty tasks or wet/oily environments.
A4—A4 is the standard minimum for most industrial settings. Handles sharp-edged materials like sheet metal, glass, and stamped parts.
A5—Choose A5 or A6 for regular contact with cutting blades, utility knives, and sharp wire.
A7—Choose A7 for sharp metal stamps and food-processing knives where heavier protection justifies reduced dexterity.
A9—A9 provides maximum cut and puncture resistance. Stands up to needles, spikes, and heavy sharp-edge exposure.
Textured—Textured coatings provide an improved grip on wet, oily, or slick materials.
FDA Compliant 21 CFR 175.300—FDA-compliant gloves are approved for direct food contact.
EN 388—Gloves rated to EN 388 meet the European equivalent of ANSI/ISEA 105 for cut, tear, and puncture resistance.
ANSI Cut Rating—The ANSI cut rating measures how much force is needed to cut through the glove with a standardized blade; higher ratings mean more protection.

    Chainmail Cut-Protection Gloves

Image of ProductInUse. Front orientation. Gloves. Chainmail Cut-Protection Gloves.
Made of interlinked rings, these gloves protect your hands from cuts and puncture wounds. They’re often used for food processing, textile cutting, and sheet metal handling. These gloves meet EN 1082-1, a European standard that measures how well chainmail gloves resist penetration from knives. It’s comparable to ANSI Cut Level A9, which is the highest cut resistance rating for gloves. You can wear these gloves on either hand—just turn them inside out when you need to switch.
Made from stainless steel, these gloves are corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. Each ring is welded fully shut, so there are no gaps that could trap particles, and there are no studs or buckles that could harbor germs. For a snug fit, wrap the adjustment clip around the cuff and slide it into any ring to secure.
1/4" Diameter Ring—Gloves with ¼" rings are lighter in weight than gloves with ⅛" rings but don’t protect as well against knife tips and other sharp points.

Keep your fingertips bare to handle objects while still protecting the rest of your hand from cuts. These gloves have an ANSI cut rating of A9, the highest possible rating based on the amount of force needed to cut through them with a razor blade. And while they’re highly protective, they won’t restrict your movement—their 21-gauge knit makes them the thinnest cut-protection gloves available. As a result, they’re often used in precision tasks such as wiring and fine parts assembly.
In addition to cut resistance, these are rated to ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for protection from abrasion and punctures. A nitrile coating makes them resistant to chemicals and oil.

    Glove

Chop, slice, and dice safely and with precision—these gloves keep your fingers nimble while still protecting you from cuts. They’re commonly used with knives and other sharp tools in food-service environments. All meet ANSI/ISEA 105 standards for various forms of protection, such as cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance. Gloves are sold individually (order two for a pair).
All have an ANSI cut rating, which reflects the amount of force required to cut through them with a razor blade. The higher the rating, the more protection you get.
A8—A8 and A9 gloves are ideal when handling needles, spikes, and bulky objects with sharp edges.

    Needlestick- and Cut-Protection Gloves

From jagged metal scraps to fine hazards like needles or wire, these gloves protect your hands from cuts and punctures. They have been tested up to the highest ANSI/ISEA needlestick rating—that’s why they’re commonly used in recycling and waste facilities. Ratings are based on the force required to cut the glove with a razor blade or puncture it with a hypodermic needle. The higher the rating, the greater the protection.
