Increase the time between coolant changes—wear-resistant properties allow these coolants to perform longer than standard grinding coolants. They prevent material from building up to ensure a high-quality finish and preserve tool life. Coolants inhibit bacteria growth to prevent foul odors. They are sulfur free. Dilute with water.
Mineral-oil-based coolants have chlorine additives to handle hard metal, such as stainless steel and titanium. Semisynthetic-oil-based coolants are a mix of mineral and synthetic oil for excellent lubricity and corrosion resistance. They’re chlorine free for use where chlorine waste disposal is a concern.
