Solderless Ready-to-Use Circuit Boards
Also known as solderless breadboards. A contact point inside each hole creates a connection without soldering. Use the terminal strips to connect your electronic components.
Boards with 170 contact points are often used for prototyping applications since they’re smaller. They’re available in a variety of colors to keep multiple prototyping projects organized.
Boards with 400, 830, or 2,390 contact points include distribution strips that ground connections and send power to your electronic components. Some also include connection posts, so you can connect to an external power supply. To organize your connections, choose a board with numbered and lettered holes.
Polyoxymethylene boards handle higher temperatures than ABS boards, which makes them good for burn-in testing.

Ready-to-Use Circuit Boards

Also known as breadboards or proto-boards, these boards have 0.042” dia. holes with solder pads or strips. Made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, they’re grade Garolite G-10/FR4 and meet UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance.
Board with solder pad allows you to make connections on one side of the board.
Boards with through-hole solder pad allow you to make connections on both sides of the board. Through-hole pads are also known as vias.
Board with solder strips creates a continuous circuit along each strip.
Board with numbered and lettered holes makes it easy to organize your connections.

Circuit Board Headers

Use these headers to make quick, temporary connections to development boards and other circuit boards when prototyping. Solder the termination contacts directly to your board, and use the mating contacts to transmit power and send signals to your equipment.
Choose male headers if you need to plug your board into something else, such as a separate circuit board or breadboard. Choose female headers if you need to plug something into your board, such as circuit board wires or other accessories. Male/female headers have lower male headers that can connect with the female headers of another board and upper female headers that allow you to plug something into your board. They can be used to stack multiple boards.
90° angle headers fit snugly against circuit boards, creating a low-profile connection in tight spaces.
