Extra-Long Hex-Nose Spring Plungers
These spring plungers have a nose that is about three-times longer than standard long hex-nose spring plungers. The extra-long nose provides a large bearing surface to handle side loads. Install from the nose end with a wrench for more torque than slotted long-nose spring plungers. They're made from wear-resistant steel. A nylon locking pellet adds friction to resist loosening.
Black-oxide steel bodies resist corrosion in dry environments.
Zinc-plated steel bodies resist corrosion in wet environments.
Extended nose force is the force required to begin to depress the nose. Compressed nose force is the force required to depress the nose flush with the body. When using a plunger as a detent or stop, a lighter nose force with a shallower hole releases more easily, while a heavier force with a deeper hole holds more securely.
