Style E have a zinc-plated steel guard to protect the bulb. Use them with medium-base, screw-in LED bulbs (sold separately). They double as an extension cord—plug a tool or other device into the outlet on the handle. You can mount them to your wall or ceiling with the included hardware.
Hazardous Location Penlights

Small enough to fit in your shirt pocket, these penlights safely light up work in explosion-prone areas. They’re intrinsically safe, meaning they cannot ignite an explosion. They’re also rated for areas with ignitable concentrations of flammable or combustible gases, vapors, and liquids. Ideal for close-up tasks and inspection work, their flood beam creates an even spread of light. Use the momentary light setting when you need light for brief periods—the light only turns on when you hold down the button. All have a nonslip grip so you don’t drop them.
These penlights have been tested against ANSI/PLATO FL 1 standards to confirm the accuracy of performance attributes such as beam distance, impact resistance, and battery life.
IP04-rated penlights are sealed to keep out dripping, splashing, and falling liquids, as well as humidity.
Hazardous location environmental ratings indicate where manufacturers have included safety features in products to facilitate their safe use in hazardous environments. Before selecting a product for a hazardous location, ensure it is rated for your environment.

Hazardous Location Flexible Flashlights
Shine light into hard-to-reach spaces in extreme environments like oil refineries or chemical plants. These flashlights are intrinsically safe, so they won’t spark. They meet NEC standards to reduce the risk of explosions. Make sure they match the hazardous environmental rating of your facility—they’re rated NEC Class I, Division I Groups A, B, C, and D. They’re also rated IP04, so they’ll seal out humidity and liquid from all angles.
Shine them continuously or use the momentary light setting to shine the light only while holding down the button. You’ll keep a firm grip on these lights thanks to their knurled texture.
Flashlights that meet ANSI/Plato FL 1 are tested to confirm the accuracy of performance attributes such as beam distance, impact resistance, and battery life.

Hazardous Location Pivoting-Head Flashlights
Tilt the head on these flashlights to point light where you need it in explosion-prone areas. Rated NEC Classes I and II, they’re safe to use where there are ignitable concentrations of flammable or combustible gases, vapors, liquids, and dust. Rated IP67, they seal out humidity and dripping, splashing, and falling liquids. They’re also dust-tight and will still work if temporarily submerged in water. These floodlights are tested against ANSI/PLATO FL 1 standards to confirm the accuracy of performance attributes such as beam distance, battery life, and impact resistance. For instance, they’ve been confirmed to still work if dropped from 6 feet.
Style A and B light up your footsteps with a second LED beneath the head that aims a flood beam downward. This LED can double as a task light—just tilt the head up to 90° and stand these flashlights on their end.
Flashlights with a spot beam have a bright center for long-distance illumination. Flashlights with a flood beam cast a uniform spread of light that’s good for close-up tasks and inspection work.

Wet-Location Flashlights

All of these flashlights stand up to wet environments. They have a slip-resistant grip to ensure a secure hold.
IP08 flashlights withstand continuous submersion according to the manufacturer's specific conditions; all at least meet IP07 standards for submersion in a maximum of one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
LED flashlights last longer, are more efficient, and generate less heat than krypton flashlights.
Spot beam flashlights have a bright center for long-distance illumination.Styles A-E were tested and rated to ANSI/NEMA FL 1 standards.
Style E are also known as dive lights.

Hazardous Location Headlamps

Light up work without risking an explosion. NEC rated, these headlamps are safe to use in areas with ignitable concentrations of flammable or combustible gases, vapors, and liquids. Swap the elastic strap with the included rubber strap to wear them around a hard hat—no clips required. To attach them to a welding helmet, use the included snap-together fastener. IP rated, you can drop them in water and they’ll still work. These headlamps are tested against ANSI/PLATO FL 1 standards to confirm the accuracy of performance attributes such as beam distance, impact resistance, and battery life.
Intrinsically safe headlamps cannot cause an explosion, so they're a better choice where hazardous material is present in normal operating conditions.
Hazardous location environmental ratings indicate where manufacturers have included safety features in products to facilitate their safe use in hazardous environments. Before selecting a product for a hazardous location, ensure it is rated for your environment.

Headlamps with disposable batteries run on alkaline batteries, but you can swap them out for lithium batteries to get brighter light in cold conditions.
