Extra-Long Life Reciprocating Saw Blades for Straight Cuts
The teeth on these blades are carbide-tipped so they last longer than long-life blades with coated teeth. They're stiffer than other blades for making straight cuts. Blades have a 1/2" universal shank that fits most reciprocating saws. Tooth size and number per inch are constant throughout the blade. Choose blades with more teeth per inch for a smooth finish; choose blades with fewer teeth per inch for fast, rough cutting. These blades are also known as bimetal blades.
Blades with a carbon steel body are flexible for cutting a wide range of materials including wood, plastic, and fiberglass.
Blades with a high-speed steel body are stiffer than blades with a carbon steel body, with a greater number of teeth per inch. Use them to cut metal.
