Also known as Type 27, raised-hub, and depressed-center cutoff wheels, these wheels outperform Type 1 wheels when making flush cuts. They contain less than 0.1% iron, chloride, and sulfur contaminants, so they won't corrode or discolor stainless steel. Wheels are aluminum oxide abrasive that is reinforced with two layers of fiberglass mesh.
Warning: Use wheels that have a greater rpm rating than the no-load rpm of your tool.
