Also known as electricians' shears, the back edge of the blade has a file to clean contacts.
Use handles to get more leverage for cutting. They also reduce hand fatigue when making repeated cuts.
Nickel-Plated Blade—Nickel-plated blades have a coating for durability. The stainless steel under this coating is corrosion resistant, so your scissors won’t rust if the coating wears away.
Titanium Nitride (TiN)-Coated Blade—Titanium-nitride (TiN)-coated blades maintain their sharp cutting edge longer than uncoated stainless steel blades. They also have a nonstick surface. The stainless steel under this coating is corrosion resistant, so your scissors won’t rust if the coating wears away.
Serrated Edge—Serrated blades grip material to prevent slipping.
    Wire-Stripping Notch—The wire-stripping notch is for 19- and 23-gauge wire.

Make straight and curved cuts in sheet metal—these sets come with three tools for different cutting patterns. Also called aviation snips, they have a double hinge, so they cut with more force and require less effort to squeeze the handles than standard sheet metal-cutting snips. Their hardened blades slice through metal as hard as steel.
All snips in these sets make straight cuts. Snips designed for either right or left cuts make tighter curves than cutters designed to do both right and left cuts.
Style A—Style A have straight handles. 7 3/16" long snips are about the size of traditional pliers, so you can grip them with one hand and fit them in tight spaces. They cut sharper curves than longer snips. However, they give you less leverage, meaning you need more effort to squeeze the handles.
Style B—Style B have offset handles, so your hands won’t get in the way of material while making long cuts or cutting tight curves.
Spring-Assisted Open—Spring-assisted snips open automatically when you release the handles for quick cutting.
Serrated Edge—Snips with serrated blades grip the edge of material to prevent slipping while cutting.
Latch Lock—For safety, snips have a latch that locks the blades closed when not in use.

Prevent waste from flying up as you work. A double blade makes two cuts, creating a 7/64" wide strip that peels back leaving little distortion and smooth edges. Also known as aviation snips, these snips have a double hinge that provides high cutting force with low gripping pressure.
Spring-Assisted Open—A spring opens the jaws for quick cutting.
Serrated Edge—The serrated blade edge prevents slipping.
Latch Lock—A locking latch holds jaws together when the snips are not in use.

    Water-Cooled Electric Blade Sharpeners

Image of Product. Front orientation. Blade Sharpeners. Water-Cooled Electric Blade Sharpeners.
Run at high speeds to breeze through sharpening jobs with precision. The sharpening wheel spins through a cooling water bath, so high-speed cutting won’t burn, bend, or weaken your blade edge. The water also washes away debris and traps airborne dust particles to keep the wheel abrasive and your workspace clean. Secure the included jig for chisels and planes into the support arm. Make precise adjustments to lock in your sharpening angle for consistent, accurate cuts every time. Additional jigs (sold separately) help you sharpen scissors, drill bits, axes, and more. Made of cast components, these sharpeners are built to last.
When you need finer or coarser cuts, the wheel dresser grades the wheel down to a 1000 grit surface and roughs it back up to a 220 grit surface. Stop anywhere in between for an intermediate grit. The dresser only removes a tiny amount of material, so it won’t shorten the life of the wheel. If the wheel becomes uneven over time, return it to shape with the truing tool.
The leather wheel perfects your edge by removing burs left from the aluminum oxide wheel. Soften the leather with honing oil and honing compound before using it on your blade.
Aluminum Oxide Abrasive—For fine control over your finish, aluminum oxide abrades slowly. Use it on any blade material.
