Sets of Parallels

Sets include multiple sizes of matched pairs that are precision ground for tight tolerances on the top and bottom edges. Place a parallel against each vise jaw and rest your workpiece on top to raise it within the vise and allow more clearance for cutting tools.
8" long parallels are also precision ground on both faces.

Parallels

Place a parallel against each vise jaw to create a rest for your workpiece. Precision ground to tight tolerances, these matched pairs raise the workpiece within a vise to allow more clearance for cutting tools.
Parallels with two precision-ground sides have a parallel tolerance of 0.0001" on the top and bottom edges.
Parallels with four precision-ground sides have tight parallel tolerances on the top edge, bottom edge, and both faces.
6" long parallels are ground to 0.0001"; 12" long parallels are ground to 0.0002".

Adjustable Parallels

Instead of keeping an assortment of parallels on hand, adjust these two-piece tools to your exact height requirements. Loosen the screw and slide the pieces in and out. When the desired height is achieved, tighten the screw. Parallels are precision ground on the top and bottom edges and are often used in pairs. Place a parallel against each vise jaw and rest your workpiece on top to raise it within the vise and allow more clearance for cutting tools.

Parallel Keepers

Spring-loaded to keep parallels in place on a vise, squeeze the ends together to place inside; release and they push outward to hold the parallels against the vise jaws. They are also known as parallel separators.
Milling-Machine Vise Jaws with Changeable Parallels

Quickly move parallels in and out of these jaws and raise your workpiece within the vise. Choose jaws and the mating pair or set of parallels. Mount jaws to the vise, slide the parallels in place, and then rest your workpiece on top to allow more clearance for cutting tools.

Parallel Handscrew Clamps

The matching jaws are ground flat for a firm grip and even pressure when clamping smooth surfaces. The two screws turn independently to make small, individual adjustments to each jaw.

Parallel Straightedges

Level machinery, check surface flatness, and scribe work positions. The top and bottom faces are precision ground within 0.0001" per 12".
Low-Profile Ball Transfer Plates

Also known as ball-bearing parallels, these plates have multidirectional balls that project from the top and bottom to position and move small, heavy items over short distances.
