Faucet Repair Tools

Twist Handle to Clean Debris from Seat

When only replacing your washer won’t stop leaks in your faucet, these tools help remove dirt and scratches that prevent a good seal. Also known as reseating tools, they give faucet seats a repaired sealing surface. First, remove your faucet’s handle and screw in the threaded centering cone to keep these tools secure and properly aligned. Then, twist the T-handle to turn the steel cutter, which scrapes the faucet seat clean of debris so nothing interferes with a watertight seal. Replace the old washer with a new one before reassembling the faucet.
