Sleeve Grip Fitting

Create a wire rope railing, perimeter, or barrier. These turnbuckles have a closed body that protects them from damage and debris and keeps them slim enough to fit in tight spaces. All are 316 stainless steel, so they have excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water.

Warning: Turnbuckles must match rope diameter and be installed correctly to obtain maximum holding power. Test all assemblies for required strength before use. Do not use with coated rope unless the coating is removed.

Compression Grip	Sleeve Grip

Compression Grip—Turnbuckles with a compression grip fitting have a mounting plate with pivot ends. Compress the thin shank wall with a hand tool (sold separately) to install. The compression grip fitting is also known as a hand swage fitting.

Sleeve Grip—Turnbuckles with a sleeve grip fitting have a mounting plate with swivel ends. To install, mount the turnbuckle to a wall or post. Then unscrew the fitting, slide over the wire rope, and tighten the pieces together with a wrench.

Internally Threaded Turnbuckle-Style Connecting Rods

Similar to turnbuckles, these rods have right-hand threads on one end and left-hand threads on the other so you can make a linkage that adjusts for tension. Add right- and left-hand threaded rod ends to build your linkages. Rods have a hex-shaped body so you can adjust them with a wrench.

Closed-Body Clevis-to-Wire Rope Turnbuckles—For Lifting

Use these turnbuckles in lifting applications with wire rope. Their closed body not only protects threads from damage and debris, but also keeps these turnbuckles slim enough to fit in tight spaces.

To install, fray the end of the wire rope with a marlin spike and screw the socket over the plug. You'll know the wire rope is secure if you see wire strands through the inspection hole on the turnbuckle body. Use an assembly kit (not included) to support the wire rope while you drive the plug into the wire rope end.
