With a plastic insert, these sockets firmly grip hex nuts and bolts without rounding them or scratching highly polished finishes. They’re often used in food, beverage, and pharmaceutical plants, since they won’t leave grooves where bacteria could grow and are also FDA compliant to safely touch food.
