Primers for Instant-Bond Adhesives

Improve instant-bond adhesive performance on hard-to-bond slippery plastics. These primers cannot be sold to the regions listed because they exceed local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
Primers in brush-top bottles also include a spray head for easy dispensing.
Certificates with a traceable lot number and product shelf life are available for these products. Download certificates from ORDER HISTORY after your order ships.

Adhesive Accelerators for Instant-Bond Adhesives

Shorten the time it takes instant-bond adhesives to reach full strength. Apply these accelerators before bonding with instant-bond adhesives for strength, or after bonding to keep adhesive from turning cloudy.
Bottles of Scotch-Weld 87937, 712, 7109, and 7113 include both a brush and spray head for easy dispensing.
Scotch-Weld 87937 also works as a primer on porous materials.
7109 is nonflammable.
7113 helps bond coils to ferrite cores in electromagnets.
QFS16 does not contain ODCs (ozone-depleting chemicals). It can be used on porous materials.
Accelerators that cannot be sold to the regions listed exceed local regulatory limits on VOC (volatile organic compounds).

Oil-Resistant Coatings

Spray these coatings on glass to create a clear, scratch-resistant surface that repels oil and water. They’re also known as oleophobic and hydrophobic coatings. Good for use on machine windows to repel coolant for a clear view, they can also be used on exterior windows to help keep them clean. Coatings are made from nanoparticles of silicon dioxide, also known as quartz, suspended in a solvent. Spray them onto glass, fiberglass, and ceramic surfaces and spread with a cloth. Allow to dry overnight and buff for a thin, glass-like finish that protects against chemicals, such as acids, alkalies, coolant, fuel, and solvents.

Thin Film and Label Application Primers

Spray these primers onto a mounting surface to quickly and smoothly apply signs, labels, and protective films. These primers float adhesive-backed sheets above a surface until you press them down, giving you time to position the sheet and remove any wrinkles. Since the sheet doesn’t stick right away, you can apply large sheets without needing a second pair of hands. These primers also work with non-adhesive films. Even in hot or cold temperatures, your sheet will stay put.
Clean the mounting surface with primer before applying a film, so no residue is trapped underneath. Use a smoothing tool (sold separately) to squeeze out air bubbles and excess fluid. Drying time depends on application—most decals and films will dry within 90 seconds, but 3D printer sheets should dry for 24 hours before printing.
