Drip-Free Thread Sealants with PTFE

Apply this thread sealant stick without a mess. It contains PTFE, which provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. Since the sealant is anaerobic, it doesn’t begin to harden until coated surfaces are threaded together, blocking exposure to air. It has low locking strength, so it prevents threads from loosening due to vibration and can be adjusted without tools. It meets NSF/ANSI 61 for use with drinking water.
Certificates with a traceable lot number and product shelf life are available for these products. Download certificates from ORDER HISTORY after your order ships.

Drip-Free Non-Hardening Thread Sealants with PTFE

Apply these thread sealant sticks without a mess. They contain PTFE, which provides a slippery surface that keeps threads from binding. These sealants never fully harden, remaining pliable enough to self-heal and stop leaks before they start, so they’re often used in high-vibration applications that could cause standard thread sealants to fail. Since they have low locking strength, these sealants can be adjusted without tools. They meet NSF/ANSI 61 for use with drinking water.

Waterproof Epoxy Structural Adhesives
Even when used under water, these adhesives maintain their strength. The most weather- and chemical-resistant structural adhesives, epoxies tend to work especially well on metals.
The size listed is the combined total of the two parts. For putty adhesives, slice off the required amount, then knead it together to form a moldable adhesive.
WaterWeld and 11801, as well as one-time-use packets, can be applied to wet surfaces or under water.

Flexible Hot-Melt Glue Sticks

This glue remains flexible after curing to accommodate joint movement. Glue that is FDA compliant 21 CFR 175.105 is suitable for food packaging. The 8" long glue sticks require a converter (sold separately) to use with a 3M or LT gun.
3764 stays flexible at low temperatures and works on hard-to-bond plastics. 3M glue sticks work only with 3M glue guns.

Hot-Melt Glue Sticks

When heated, these glue sticks melt and quickly begin to harden. Use them to seal packaging and form other low- to medium-strength bonds. 3M glue sticks work only with 3M glue guns. The 8" long glue sticks require a converter (sold separately) to use with a 3M or LT gun.
Adhesives that take longer to harden are suited for applications that require some repositioning, because the longer open times allow for more adjustment. For high-volume applications, adhesives with a lower viscosity flow faster than other hot-melt adhesives.
3750LM is FDA compliant 21 CFR 175.105 for use in food packaging.
3762 is a high-tack adhesive; it bonds quickly with light pressure.
3789 joins hard-to-bond plastics and resists fuel and oil.
LM denotes low-temperature formulations. These work well on delicate or heat-sensitive materials.

Threadlocker Paste

Paste threadlockers are easy to apply and won't drip, even from overhead fasteners. These threadlockers bond slightly oily parts. They begin to harden once coated surfaces are threaded together and exposure to air is blocked.
Threadlockers with medium locking strength require a hand tool to unthread.
Threadlockers with high locking strength require both heat and a hand tool to unthread.

Threadlocker Gel

This gel clings to fasteners to prevent drips. It begins to harden once coated surfaces are threaded together and exposure to air is blocked.
Primer (sold separately) cleans the surface and decreases the time to reach full strength. It is recommended when working with aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium; black-oxide finishes, and cadmium and zinc coatings.
