    Each hub includes a set screw (unless noted), which bites into your shaft to hold the coupling in place. Also known as Lovejoy® couplings, these three-piece couplings have a spider-shaped cushion between two hubs to reduce shock and handle minor shaft misalignment.
    A complete coupling consists of two hubs and one spider, or two hubs, one split spider, and one retaining ring (all components sold separately). Split spiders are easier to install and replace than standard spiders because there’s no need for tools or removing your hubs. Twist-lock them in place using a retaining ring.
    303 Stainless Steel—303 stainless steel hubs have excellent corrosion resistance.
    Buna-N—Buna-N spiders provide good vibration damping and chemical resistance.
    Hytrel—Hytrel spiders provide fair vibration damping and excellent chemical resistance.
    Polyurethane Rubber—Polyurethane spiders and split spiders provide fair vibration damping and good chemical resistance.

    Designed to grip evenly around your shaft, these couplings provide more holding power than set screw couplings without marring the shaft. Tighten the clamping screws to secure. Good for precision motor and pump applications, the spider-shaped cushion reduces shock and compensates for minor shaft misalignment. Couplings allow zero backlash (no play).
    A complete coupling consists of two hubs and one spider (each component sold separately). Hubs are lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum. Spiders are polyurethane for fair vibration damping and good chemical resistance.

    The thick split spider on these couplings takes on twice as much torque as standard split spiders, while a set screw holds the hubs in place on your shaft. Also known as jaw couplings, use them to connect motors to pumps, mixers, and other high-torque equipment. You don’t need to lubricate them.
    For a complete coupling, you’ll need two hubs, one split spider, and a split spider cover (all sold separately).
    Hubs attach to the end of your shaft.
    Split spiders cushion between the two hubs to dampen vibration, reduce shocks, and handle shaft misalignment, extending the life of bearings, seals, and motors. You can replace them without having to remove the hubs or move your shaft and equipment around, which reduces the risk of needing to realign the shaft.
    Split spider covers hold the spider in place.

    The included set screw holds the coupling in place. Good for precision motor and pump applications, the spider-shaped cushion reduces shock and compensates for minor shaft misalignment. Couplings allow zero backlash (no play).
    A complete coupling consists of two hubs and one spider (each component sold separately). Hubs are lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum. Spiders are polyurethane for fair vibration damping and good chemical resistance.

    Designed to grip evenly around your shaft, these couplings provide more holding power than set screw couplings without marring the shaft. Tighten the clamping screw to secure. Also known as Lovejoy® couplings, they have a spider-shaped cushion between two hubs to reduce shock and handle minor shaft misalignment.
    A complete coupling consists of two hubs and one spider (each component sold separately). Hubs are aluminum for light weight and good corrosion resistance.
    Hytrel—Hytrel spiders provide fair vibration damping and excellent chemical resistance.
    Polyurethane Rubber—Polyurethane spiders provide fair vibration damping and good chemical resistance.

    Safely connect slightly misaligned shafts near food lines—the spider on these couplings contains metal, so it’ll trigger a metal detector if a piece frays off and contaminates your batch. The hubs are made of 303 stainless steel to resist rusting in wet conditions common to food plants. However, these couplings shouldn’t directly touch food, since they’re not FDA compliant. If the spider fails, the hubs will interlock, giving you time to shut down equipment before other components break. You don’t need to lubricate these couplings.

    Customize the bore of these flexible couplings to align uncommon shaft sizes as well as shafts that have become undersized from wear or oversized from coatings. Also known as Lovejoy® couplings, these three-piece couplings have a spider-shaped cushion between two hubs to reduce shock and handle minor shaft misalignment. A complete coupling consists of two hubs and one spider (all components sold separately). Fasten to your shaft with set screws (not included), which bite into the shaft for a secure hold. If the spider fails, the hubs will lock together, giving you time to shut down your equipment to prevent component damage and replace the spider. These couplings do not need lubrication.
    Iron Hubs and Buna-N Spiders
    Buna-N—Buna-N spiders are the most commonly used because they damp the most vibration, making them best for forward/reverse and start/stop motion. They resist oil and chemicals.

    Diameter

    Connect splined shafts to keyed shafts. These couplings are commonly used to connect hydraulic pumps, compressors, and other heavy duty equipment, which often have splined shafts, to electric motors and other components that often have keyed shafts. They have a splined hub on one side and a keyed hub on the other. A spider cushion in the middle damps vibration, absorbs shock loads, and adjusts for misalignment. Because the hubs interlock with the spider, these couplings will continue to work even if the spider breaks or wears away. This fail-safe design gives you time to shut down your power source before damage occurs to other components. Lubrication is not required.
    A complete coupling consists of two hubs and one spider. All components are sold separately.
    Splined Iron Hubs and Buna-N Spiders—For Forward/Reverse, Start/Stop Motion
    Buna-N—Buna-N spiders are best for high-speed systems and jobs with frequent starting, stopping, and reversing. The most commonly used spider material, Buna-N absorbs vibration better than other materials but cannot handle as much torque. It won't break down when exposed to oil and chemicals.

    Polyurethane Rubber—Use polyurethane spiders for high-torque, continuous-motion applications where vibration is a concern. They absorb vibration better than Hytrel spiders but are not as resistant to oil and chemicals. They're not for use in applications with frequent starting, stopping, and reversing.

    Diameter

    For use with splined shafts, which are commonly found in gearboxes and pumps, these couplings are capable of transmitting more torque than couplings for round and keyed shafts. They have a spider-shaped cushion between two hubs to reduce shock and handle minor shaft misalignment.
    A complete coupling consists of two hubs and one spider (each component sold separately). Hubs fasten onto your shafts without damaging them. Tighten the clamping screws to secure.
    Buna-N—Buna-N spiders provide good vibration damping and chemical resistance.
    Hytrel—Hytrel spiders provide fair vibration damping and excellent chemical resistance.
    Polyurethane Rubber—Polyurethane spiders provide fair vibration damping and good chemical resistance.
