Quick-Grip Screw-Clamp Bushings
Also known as Trantorque bushings, these tighten with a twist of the collar nut—no screws needed. As you tighten the collar nut, the inner sleeve contracts onto the shaft and the outer sleeve expands to hold your sprocket, pulley, or gear.
Stainless steel bushings are corrosion resistant for use in harsh environments.

Self-Adjusting Spring Bushings
A toothed slot lets these bushings contract for insertion into the bore of your sprocket or pulley and then expand for a snug fit. Made of spring steel, they flex under stress and shock and can handle oscillating or slow rotational motion.

XL Series Corrosion-Resistant Timing Belt Pulleys
Pulleys are anodized aluminum, which is more corrosion resistant than steel. They are XL series (extra light) and have trapezoidal teeth. Select a pulley with a maximum belt width that’s the same or larger than your timing belt width.
For tight spots, choose a pulley without a hub.

Timing Belt Idler Pulleys
Add these free-spinning pulleys to your timing belt setup to minimize vibration and keep belts from wearing out. The needle bearing at the center of these pulleys is lined with small, cylindrical rollers that reduce friction as they rotate. This bearing allows both the pulley and the shaft it’s mounted on to spin independently. Made from iron or steel, these pulleys are strong and wear-resistant. The black oxide coating protects the pulleys from corrosion in dry environments.
Trapezoidal teeth on the outside of the pulley fit into teeth inside your timing belt—select a pulley that matches your belt trade size. The maximum belt width should be the same size or larger than the width of your timing belt.

Metal Gears and Gear Racks—14 1/2° Pressure Angle
A former industry standard, 14½° pressure angle gears are often found on older machinery. Made of carbon steel, they have high strength and are better than plastic gears and gear racks for high-load, high-speed, and heavy duty applications.
Combine gears with different numbers of teeth to change speed and torque in your assembly. Combine a gear and rack to convert rotary motion into linear motion.
For components to mesh correctly, they must have the same pressure angle and pitch.
Gears with machinable bore have a large hub diameter so you can machine them to fit your shaft.
Gears with teeth that are not hardened can be hardened to fit your application. Hardening a gear's teeth increases its wear resistance.

Metal Ratcheting Gears
Compared to plastic gears, these metal ratcheting gears are better for high-load, high-speed, and heavy duty applications. Used to prevent unwanted motion in jacks, tie downs, clutches, and winches, ratchet gears have sloped teeth that allow motion in one direction and prevent it in the other. Gears with teeth that are not hardened can be hardened to fit your application. Hardening a gear’s teeth increases its wear resistance.

Gear Rod Stock
Machine your own gears to fit the exact face width and shaft diameter required. Rod stock has teeth with a 20° pressure angle, the current industry standard. 20° pressure angle gears have thicker, stronger teeth than 14½° pressure angle gears. Teeth are not hardened so you can machine and harden them to fit your application. Hardening a gear’s teeth increases its wear resistance. Also known as spur gear rod stock.
For gears to mesh correctly, they must have the same pressure angle and pitch.
