Types of Socket Head Screws
-
Standard socket head screws have a head height that matches the screw's thread diameter. Good for high-strength fastening.
-
High-profile socket head screws can be used in deep holes or hard-to-reach applications. Their head height is one and half times taller than a standard socket head.
-
Low-profile socket head screws are used where head space is limited. Head height is about half the height of a standard socket head. Not recommended for high-strength fastening.
-
Ultra-low-profile screws can be used where head space is very limited. Head height is about one-third the height of a standard socket head. Not recommended for high-strength fastening.
