Our most common plastic pan head screws, these are often used to attach panels and covers to electronics and automated equipment. They're lightweight and nonconductive. Pan heads have a moderate height and width profile, offering a middle ground between narrower button heads and wider truss heads. The Phillips drive easily aligns with drivers and withstands more torque than slotted drives, but drivers slip when you apply too much force.
Length is measured from under the head.
Nylon—The most common plastic rounded head screws, these are good for general purpose fastening. Slippery and abrasion resistant, they thread in smoothly and stand up to daily wear and tear. Nylon will swell and weaken when exposed to moisture, so these screws are best for dry environments.
