Combine the lightweight and nonconductive properties of plastic with the tall, narrow head of these fillister screws. Since they have a deeper drive than other screws, slotted drivers are less likely to slip. These screws often secure panels to electronics deep inside machinery and in other applications where screws are hard to reach.
Length is measured from under the head.
Nylon—The most common plastic rounded head screws, these are good for general purpose fastening. Slippery and abrasion resistant, they thread in smoothly and stand up to daily wear and tear. Nylon will swell and weaken when exposed to moisture, so these screws are best for dry environments.
