These screws are made of stainless steel, so they won't corrode from frequent washdowns with harsh cleaners and sanitizers. With an extremely smooth surface, they don't have microscopic crevices where bacteria can hide. Their wide head spreads out pressure without adding a washer and reduces the risk of crushing material, such as sheet metal. These screws have a wrench-flat drive with two shallow notches that self-drain to reduce bacterial growth. Tighten the drive with a spanner wrench.
