Wear-Resistant Easy-to-Machine Acetal Rods and Discs

- Color: White or Black
- Temperature Range: -20° to 180° F
- Tensile Strength: 9,135-9,700 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 1-1.5 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell R120 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: FDA Compliant 21 CFR 176.170, FDA Compliant 21 CFR 177.2470, NSF/ANSI 51, NSF/ANSI 61, UL 94 HB
Made of naturally slippery acetal copolymer, these rods and discs are an economical alternative to Delrin® acetal resin. They offer similar wear resistance and are equally resistant to expanding when exposed to heat and moisture. They can be machined to close tolerances and are often used to make precision gears, bushing, bearings, and rollers.

Slippery Wear-Resistant Easy-to-Machine Acetal Copolymer

- Color: Blue or Red
- Temperature Range: -50° to 180° F
- Tensile Strength:
Blue: 7,600 psi (Good)
Red: 5,900 psi (Good) - Impact Strength: 0.54 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness:
Blue: Rockwell M81 (Hard)
Red: Rockwell M63 (Hard) - For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: UL 94 HB
A silicone additive gives these rods a self-lubricating surface that reduces friction and extends the life of your parts.
Blue is also known as Turcite A; it is stronger than red, making it a good choice for heavier loads at moderate speeds.
Red is also known as Turcite X; it is more slippery than blue, making it suitable for low-load applications at high speeds.

Antistatic Wear-Resistant Easy-to-Machine Acetal Rods

- Color: Off-White
- Temperature Range: -20° to 180° F
- Tensile Strength: 5,000-6,400 psi (Good)
- Impact Strength: 1.5 ft.-lbs./in. (Poor)
- Hardness: Rockwell R110 (Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: No
- Specifications Met: UL 94 HB
When static is a concern, machine your conveyor components, rollers, and other moving parts from these antistatic acetal copolymer rods. These rods have a naturally slippery, wear-resistant surface. They resist expanding when exposed to heat and moisture, so they can be machined to close tolerances. They’re also excellent electrical insulators.
