    Plastic Sprockets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Drive Sprockets. Plastic Sprockets.
Quiet-running, lightweight, and naturally rust resistant. Choose these sprockets for noise-sensitive areas, designs with weight constraints, and machines that require frequent washdowns. Their teeth mesh with your roller chain to smoothly transmit power. All are made in the U.S.
Plain Bore—Plain bore sprockets give you options—machine a custom bore, weld, or press-fit them in place. They're sized to the minimum shaft diameter listed and are machinable up to the maximum.

    Plastic Spur Gears

Made of plastic, these spur gears run more quietly than metal gears and have good corrosion and chemical resistance. However, they’re not as strong as metal gears, so they’re best for light duty applications. Combine a gear and rack to convert rotary motion into linear motion.
Combine gears with different numbers of teeth to change speed and torque in your assembly. For components to mesh correctly, they must have the same pressure angle and pitch/module.

    20° Pressure

    Angle

20° Pressure Angle—The current industry standard, these 20° pressure angle spur gears have thicker, stronger teeth than 14½° pressure angle gears.
Acetal—Acetal gears absorb less water than nylon gears, so they’re less likely to swell.

    Plastic Worm Gears

These plastic gears are lighter and quieter than metal gears—pair them with metal worms for lubrication-free operation. Worm gears use screw threads to make large reductions to shaft speed while transmitting motion at a right angle. They transmit motion from worm to gear and cannot be reversed. For gears and worms to mesh correctly, they must have the same pressure angle, pitch/module, number of thread starts, and thread direction.

Acetal—Acetal gears are lightweight, and resist corrosion and chemicals. They absorb less moisture than nylon gears, so they’re less prone to dimensional changes. They’re best suited for light duty applications, such as prototyping.
Speed Ratio—Speed ratio is the ratio by which output shaft speed is reduced. As speed decreases, torque increases.

    Plastic Spur Gear Racks

Image of Product. Front orientation. Spur Gear Racks. Plastic Spur Gear Racks.
Lightweight and resistant to corrosion and chemicals, these racks match with spur gears to convert rotary motion to linear motion in light duty applications.
For components to mesh correctly, they must have the same pressure angle and pitch/module.
20° Pressure Angle—The current industry standard, these 20° pressure angle gear racks have thicker, stronger teeth than 14½° pressure angle gear racks.
Acetal—Acetal gear racks absorb less water than nylon racks, so they’re less likely to swell.
Machined—Machined gear racks may be slightly bowed but will straighten out when installed.

Connect two shafts at a right angle without changing shaft speed or torque. Made of plastic, these gears run quieter than metal gears and have good corrosion and chemical resistance.
For two gears to mesh correctly, they must have the same pressure angle, pitch/module, and number of teeth.
Acetal—Acetal gears absorb less moisture than nylon gears and are less prone to dimensional change. They’re best suited for use in light duty applications such as prototyping.
