How to Identify and Measure Fittings

Pipe size is an industry designation, not the actual size. View information about how to measure threaded and unthreaded pipe and pipe fittings.

Temperature Range: 0° to 170° F
Tubing: Use with firm (Durometer 95A-45D) polyethylene plastic or polyurethane rubber
Specifications Met: ISO 14743, except polybutylene plastic fittings

Plastic Quick-Disconnect Tube Couplings for Air and Water

Lighter in weight than their metal counterparts, these quick-disconnect couplings are plastic. They consist of a plug and a socket that allow you to frequently connect and disconnect your line.

Acetal plugs and sockets are moisture resistant, so they won’t absorb water and lose strength, even in high-humidity environments. Plug and Sockets with shut-off have a valve to stop the flow when the coupling is separated, so air or water won’t spill from your line.

Not only do these chrome-plated brass couplings have excellent corrosion resistance, they also withstand pressures up to 250 psi. Couplings consist of a plug and a socket (sold separately) that join with a latch, so you can frequently connect and disconnect your line. Brass Quick-Turn Tube Couplings for Air

An all-brass body gives these couplings better strength and durability than plastic quick-turn couplings. They have a nickel plating for extra protection against corrosive environments. Gaskets

Buna-N gaskets are oil resistant. EPDM gaskets resist water and steam and work well in humid environments. Silicone gaskets withstand high temperatures. Fluoroelastomer gaskets stand up to fuel, oil, and acid condensates. PTFE gaskets withstand harsh chemicals, with the exception of molten alkali metal and elemental fluorine.
