Polished Multipurpose 6061 Aluminum Sheets
Make parts that are easy to keep clean. With a smoother surface than unpolished 6061 aluminum, these sheets are less likely to trap dirt, grease, and grime. A peel-off film shields the surface until you’re ready to work.
The most widely used aluminum, 6061 is made into everything from pipe fittings to containers to airplane parts. It balances strength and corrosion resistance, plus it’s easy to machine and weld.
Brushed—With a #4 satin finish, this aluminum has grain lines that run one way to mask fingerprints and minor scratches. These lines also reduce glare.
Mirror Like—For the easiest clean, this aluminum has a #8 reflective finish, so it’s free of any grain lines or grooves that could collect dirt. You can quickly detect defects on the mirror-like surface. However, it scratches more easily than brushed aluminum.
