Polished Easy-to-Weld 5052 Aluminum Sheets and Bars

- Yield Strength: 20,000 psi
- Temper: H32 (1/4 Hard)
- Fabrication: Cold Rolled
- Specifications Met: ASTM B209
One side of these sheets and bars is polished to either a brushed finish or a mirror-like finish. The polished side is covered with a protective, peel-off film. Known for being one of the easiest types of aluminum to weld, 5052 is also recognized for its ability to resist salt water. It's widely used for the bodies of boats, buses, trucks, and trailers, as well as for chemical drums.
Brushed sheets and bars are polished to a #4 satin finish with grain lines running in one direction to mask fingerprints.
Mirror-like sheets and bars are polished to a #8 reflective finish and are free of grain lines.

Ring Shims

Precisely align, level, and adjust spacing on fasteners, shafts, and machinery with these shims.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment.
Aluminum shims are lightweight and nonmagnetic. They have good corrosion resistance.

Aluminum Perforated Sheets

Aluminum is lightweight. These sheets have good corrosion resistance, weldability, and formability.
Grade 5052 aluminum is more corrosion resistant than Grade 3003, and is good for use in saltwater environments. It’s also harder and stronger for greater wear resistance. It’s often used in storage tanks, pressure vessels, and marine applications.

Piano Hinges without Holes
Longer than other hinges, piano hinges run the entire length of doors and lids for strength and durability. These hinges have a standard clearance—when they are closed, the distance between the leaves is about the same as the pin diameter.
Aluminum hinges are about half the weight of low-carbon steel and brass. They have mild corrosion resistance.
Note: Prices are 15% to 20% lower when you buy 10 or more hinges of the same size.

Narrow-Profile Lift-Off Hinges without Holes

Hinge with 360°
Range of Motion
Also known as bullet hinges, these hinges are the right size for tight spaces and narrow frames. The hinge pin is permanently attached to the frame leaf so you can quickly lift the door off the hinge without removing the pin. Hinges with a 360° range of motion have a small triangular surface to weld to the door frame. Hinges with a 270° range of motion have a body that welds directly to the door frame.
Aluminum hinges are about half the weight of low-carbon steel. They have mild corrosion resistance.

Lift-Off Hinges without Holes

The hinge pin is permanently attached to the frame leaf so you can quickly lift the door off the hinge without removing the pin. Capacity is based on two hinges per door. To choose a door mounting location, stand on the pull side of the door—use a right-side hinge if the hinge is on the right or a left-side hinge if it’s on the left.
Aluminum hinges are about half the weight of low-carbon steel. They have mild corrosion resistance.
