Easy-to-Form Pure 1000 Series Aluminum Sheets and Bars

Made of 1000 series aluminum which is 99% pure, this aluminum offers superior formability, corrosion resistance, and electrical conductivity. It's frequently fabricated into raceways, decorative trim, and other parts where strength and hardness are not required. These temper O foil, sheets, and bars are annealed to the softest state possible, which is sometimes called “dead soft.” The foil is often used as a wrap, cover, mask, or patch.

Contaminant-Free High-Vacuum Aluminum Foil

- Yield Strength: 14,000 psi
- Hardness: Not Rated
- Temper: O
- Fabrication: Cold Rolled
- Specifications Met: ASTM B479, Fed. Spec. QQ-A-1876
Use this foil as a blanket to disperse heat evenly in high-vacuum systems, as well as in clean rooms and other controlled environments where dust and oil could jeopardize a system. It is “A” wettable, so it's completely free of the oils found on other types aluminum foil. Supplied on a plastic core, it comes wrapped in plastic and packed in a plastic box to ensure it stays free of contaminants. Often called UHV (ultra-high vacuum) foil, it is 1100 aluminum, which is highly corrosion resistant and very formable.

Shim Stock

Cut it into custom shapes to fit your application. Sheets come flat packed.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment. Metal shims include a material certificate with traceable lot number and test report.
Stainless steel shim stock is more corrosion resistant than steel shim stock.
Carbon steel shim stock has excellent strength and can be welded, but isn't as corrosion resistant as other shims.
Brass, copper, and bronze shim stock is corrosion resistant and nonmagnetic.

High-Temperature Moisture-Resistant Polyester Film

Often used as a separator when heating parts in an oven, this wear-resistant film can also protect surfaces when etching or sanding. Also called PET and PETE, polyester resists swelling when exposed to moisture. When used as a separator, film should be cut larger than the piece it is being released from.
Film with a smooth texture releases cleanly from rubber and most synthetic resins. This film is skived, so the edges may curl.

Corrosion-Inhibiting Wrap

Shield metals from corrosion with these chemically impregnated wraps, also known as volatile corrosion inhibitor (VCI) wraps. Polyethylene wrap is a heat-sealable film. For the best protection, the coated side should be in contact with the metal. Wrap with perforated sheets is folded on a roll for compact storage.

Starrett Feeler Gauge Sets with Calibration Certificate

To ensure accurate readings, these sets come with a certificate of calibration traceable to NIST that states they’ve passed a test for accuracy. They are used to check gaps, alignment, and narrow slots. Gauge leaves are riveted together in a fan design that folds up for portability. Each leaf is marked with thickness. Leaf-securing locks hold individual gauge leaves in place.

Starrett Feeler Gauge Sets for Tight Spots with Calibration Certificate

A certificate of calibration traceable to NIST states that this set has passed a test for accuracy. It's used to check gaps, alignment, and narrow slots. The leaves have narrow ends to measure thickness in areas where standard feeler gauges don’t fit. Set includes leaves in a variety of thicknesses that are riveted together in a fan design that folds up for portability. Each leaf is marked with thickness. Leaf-securing locks hold individual gauge leaves in place.

Colored Light Filters

Change the color of a room; filters allow only the same color lightwave to pass through. Also known as lighting gels. Cut to size using scissors or a utility knife.
Red filters allow less than 10% transmission between 420 and 600 nanometers. Blue filters allow less than 10% transmission between 530 and 670 nanometers. Green filters allow less than 10% transmission between 380 and 480 nanometers and between 540 and 670 nanometers.
To order other filter colors, please specify a color number from the selector pack.
