Wear-Resistant 1095 Spring Steel Sheets and Strips
- Yield Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Rockwell C50 (Very Hard)
1095 spring steel has a higher carbon content than 1075 spring steel for better wear resistance. It is often fabricated into parts that will be used under continual stress, such as spring clips and washers. This material is also known as blue-tempered steel.

Easy-to-Form Wear-Resistant 1095 Spring Steel Sheets
- Yield Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Rockwell B90 (Medium)
- Heat Treatable: Yes
- Max. Hardness After Heat Treatment: Not Rated
These sheets have a softened temper, which is also known as annealed, so they can be easily formed into shape and then heat treated for spring properties. 1095 spring steel has a higher carbon content than 1075 spring steel for better wear resistance. It is often fabricated into parts that will be used under continual stress, such as spring clips and washers.

1075 Spring Steel Strips
- Yield Strength: Not Rated
- Hardness: Rockwell C45 (Hard)
1075 spring steel is easier to bend than 1095, but it has less bounce-back after heat treating. It is often used for springs and shims. This material is also known as scaleless steel.

Easy-To-Form Multipurpose 1050 Spring Steel Sheets
- Yield Strength: 38,000 psi

- Heat Treatable: Yes
- Maximum Hardness After Heat Treatment: Rockwell C58
- Specifications Met: ASTM A682, ASTM A684
Containing more carbon than low-carbon steel—but less than 1095 spring steel—1050 spring steel is easily formed into parts such as washers, brackets, and springs before being hardened for use. It resists stress, so it won’t snap when formed or twisted. Because it has a lower carbon content than 1095 spring steel, it’s not as wear resistant.

Shim Stock
Cut it into custom shapes to fit your application. Sheets come flat packed.
For accurate leveling, choose materials such as steel or stainless steel, which are hard enough to resist scratching and deforming. Softer shims, like copper or aluminum, can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment. Metal shims include a material certificate with traceable lot number. Most shims include a test report.
Spring steel shim stock is comparable in strength to carbon steel shim stock, but is harder and holds its shape better. It isn't as corrosion resistant as other shims.

Adhesive-Back Shim Stock
A durable acrylic adhesive keeps this shim stock from sliding out of place. Cut it into custom shapes to fit your application. Shim stock is corrosion resistant. It includes a material certificate with traceable lot number and test report.
Aluminum and brass shim stock are softer than stainless steel, so they can be used as wear plates between components that rub together, preventing damage to equipment. Aluminum shim stock is lighter than brass.

Cotton Fabric Sheets and Strips
Ultra-High-Temperature Metal-Faced Vermiculite Gasket Material
An ETP (electrolytic tin plate) laminate covers the vermiculite core to ensure these gasket sheets maintain their shape as they expand and contract during heating/cooling cycles. Maximum temperature is 1830° F. These sheets resist vibration. Use them when a strong seal is required in boilers and furnaces. They can be die-cut.
