Stacked, corrugated plates maximize contact with liquid or steam flowing through these brazed plate heat exchangers for faster heat transfer than shell and tube heat exchangers. Plates are brazed in a vacuum furnace to ensure 100% sealed construction.
Copper-brazed heat exchangers with an ASME U-1 code stamp have a Btu/hr. cooling capacity based on cooling 100 SSU oil to 125° F using 85° F water.

Also known as shell and tube heat exchangers, these transfer heat using liquid or steam that flows through the shell to heat or cool liquid in the tubes. They’re commonly used in refrigeration and engine cooling systems. Btu/hr. cooling capacity is based on cooling 180° F process water with 85° F water and a 10 psi pressure difference.

Designed for sanitary environments, these exchangers are often used to process food and personal care products, or to heat clean-in-place solutions for sanitary processing lines. Also known as shell and tube heat exchangers, they flow liquid or steam through their outer shell to heat or cool liquid in the inner tubes. Made of 316 stainless steel, they have excellent corrosion resistance. The tubes are removable so they can be sanitized separately from the shell, and their polished interior makes it easy to clean out residue. Connect the tubes to sanitary quick-clamp fittings with a gasket and a clamp.
These exchangers meet 3-A sanitary standards and ASME safety standards for pressure vessels. They’re not for use with extra-thick food, which may clog the tubes. Btu/hr. capacity is based on cooling 185° F water in the tubes with 85° F water in the shell, or heating 85° F water in the tubes with steam in the shell at 15 psi.
Two-pass heat exchangers are commonly used for clean-in-place applications to remove residue from product lines. They have a higher flow rate than four-pass heat exchangers, but transfer heat less efficiently.
Four-pass heat exchangers transfer heat more efficiently than two-pass heat exchangers, with a lower flow rate.
Optional mounting supports cradle heat exchangers above your work surface. They have holes for mounting.
