Use these tensioners to draw metal strapping tight around packages. They have ratchet action for unlimited take-up. The tensioner holds the bottom strap while a feedwheel bites into the strap and tightens it.
Tensioners for open seals are for use on flat surfaces. Strapping is wrapped around the package and overlapped on top. Tensioners for closed seals are for use on irregular surfaces as well as rounded objects. Place the seal on one end and fold strapping back to form a hook, and then slide the other end of the strapping through the seal. Tensioners push against the seal as they tighten strapping.
Note: To match with compatible metal strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

These tensioners apply maximum tension to pull strapping more tightly around packages than standard tensioners for metal strapping.
Style A holds the bottom strap and tensions the top strap by winding it around the take-up wheel for maximum tension. Styles B and C push the seal to create high tension without slip. Pull strapping tight manually before applying tension.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

Also known as crimpers, these sealers secure seals (sold separately) onto metal strapping.
Sealers for open seals cut two notches on each side of the seal with one operation. Sealers for closed seals cut a single notch on each side of the seal with one operation. For best results, apply two notches per seal.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

These tools do double duty, pulling metal strapping tight and then fastening it, without the use of a separate seal. They create a joint by crimping interlocking notches into the strapping and cutting off the excess.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

Use these tensioners with buckles in low-tension applications to draw plastic strapping tight around packages.
Style A tensioner lets you tighten strapping while threading plastic or wire buckles. It has a built-in cutter for removing excess strapping. Style B tensioner uses leverage to pull strapping tight.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.
These tools use heat to secure strapping without crimping on a seal. They automatically apply tension, weld strapping onto itself, and cut off the exceess strapping.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.

These tools do double duty, pulling plastic strapping tight and then fastening it with a seal (sold separately). They have multiple levers for tensioning and sealing.
Note: To match with compatible strapping, choose items with the same strapping material, width, and thickness or material and strapping group number.
Capable of securing 15 polypropylene straps per minute, this mobile tensioner/sealer saves you time and energy. Manually pull strapping over the package and feed it into the strapping inlet. The tensioner/sealer tensions the strapping around the package, makes a sealless weld, and then feeds out strapping for the next package. Use with Plastic Strapping for Strapping Machines.

Tool comes with a built-in cutter and a tension wing handle, as well as a tension nut that can be used instead of the handle in confined spaces. Use with banding and buckles to build your own low-profile band clamps.
You can also use this tool to install our Extra-Strength Low-Profile Band Clamps for Firm Hose—just fit a cutting adapter (sold separately) over the tool. The press-cut adapter cuts the banding when you press down the handle. The screw-cut adapter cuts the banding when you turn a screw with the included ratchet handle.
Use with banding and buckles to build your own low-profile band clamps. Tool has a ratchet-action handle to tighten the band.
